We are currently seeking nominations from our member organizations for our Awards of Excellence. Below are the categories. If you would you like to nominate someone in your organization, please complete this form. Please note, if you do not have a nomination for a specific category and wish to nominate more than one person for a category please use an unused category box for your nomination. Please type next to the nominations name the category in your response. For example if your company does not use Sales Award, but would like to nominate 2 employees for employee of the year please write your second employees name in the sales award. It should look something like this “Jane Smith – Employee of the Year”
The Community Spirit Award recognizes outstanding voluntary contributions made by an individual or team to the citizens/communities of Nova Scotia. The award recipients are selected because they have demonstrated tremendous community engagement which has served to enrich both their immediate workplace and the larger Nova Scotia community.
The Motivation Award recognizes an employee who exemplifies a consistently positive outlook and attitude, manifested by the following attributes: inspiring, optimistic, encouraging, cheerleader disposition, fun, reliable and selfless. Essentially, this is the team player who most manifests the “CAN DO” spirit.
The Supporter Award recognizes a support group or individual (non-front line associates) who has made a substantial contribution to our business and /or our employees. These are the unsung heroes who work behind the scenes to support other teams.
The Sales Award recognizes an associate who most exemplifies a sales culture. This individual inspires others in the ways of how to maximize sales, either by modeling the ideal approach to take, or by directly assisting others.
The Leader of the Year Award recognizes a member of management who has demonstrated exceptional leadership; through their behavior and actions, they have exercised a positive impact on the workplace which has positively and tangibly impacted company performance.
The Employee of the Year Award recognizes an employee who has demonstrated a measurable and positive contribution to customer service as a result of their performance, and who likewise has had a demonstrable impact on the workplace culture and their extended community.
The New Hire of the Year Award recognizes an employee who has made tremendous growth and development within their first year of employment within the organization. They also must have demonstrated a positive contribution to customer service, their workplace environment, performance management, and the community.
Submissions must be received by May 19th, 2023 at 5pm.
