Cameron Bruce
President

Cam began his career in sales with IBM as a Sales Representative in the Atlantic Canada area.

In 1994, Cam joined Xerox as a Sales Product Specialist and has held various positions such as Sales Manager and General Manager. In 2002, Cam moved to Halifax to lead the Xerox North America Inside Sales division as Director of Operations.

Cam and his wife Kelly live in Fall River with their two children Nicholas and Lindsey. A graduate of Memorial University, Cam received his Bachelor of Commerce Degree in 1990

 

Marco Colaiacovo – VP External

Marco has been in the contact center industry for the past 13 years in senior operations and client facing roles with multiple site responsibility. Marco began his career with Convergys where he moved from operations to client services overseeing 7 sites in Canada and 2 in the US. Marco then moved to Register.com where he oversaw the corporate division and brought a full spectrum of functionality into one operational site, from sales to account management to back office to invoicing to collections. He then moved to Charlottetown PEI to run the Resolve site with 500 FTE and multiple programs. Returning to Dartmouth brought the opportunity to lead the Convergys site with 750 FTE. Marco coaches several sports and plays golf whenever the opportunity arises.

Debby Vincent – Treasurer

Debby spent 16 years in the Financial Industry, holding a variety of Personal Banking, Mortgage Development and Contact Management positions with Scotiabank, Central Guaranty Trust, Investors Group and CIBC. In 1998, Debby joined Staples when it opened its doors in Lower Sackville. Debby is a Director, Contact Centre Operations for the Contract Division of Staples. She graduated from Dalhousie University with her Physical Education Degree in Teaching in 1983. Debby lives in Porters Lake with her husband Peter and their daughter Jessica, and son Michael and they also have a son James who is a Chef and lives in Nantucket Island, USA.

 

Donna Humbert – Secretary

Donna Humbert has been in the contact center industry for the past 15 years. She started her career in business process outsourcing and worked as Director of Training and Quality, serving multiple centers throughout Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. Her mandate in this role was to ensure that the company provided consistency in training practices and quality standards for multiple U.S. based telecommunications companies. After seven years in this role Donna moved in-house as the Account Manager for Time Warner Cable Los Angeles and managed a team of 150 agents, 10 team managers an offline/back-office group and an escalation team.

In January of 2009 Donna accepted a position with Eastlink in the Ontario center and within 9 months moved to a senior management role overseeing the Customer Service and Sales groups in all Eastlink contact centers across Canada. In Sept of 2010, Donna relocated with her family to Nova Scotia and now works in the same role in the Dartmouth Crossing Contact center. Donna oversees both in-house, @ home, chat/email and offline functions within Customer care across 3 Eastlink centers.

 

Shane Maguiness – VP Associate Members

Shane Maguiness is the Recording Solution Manager for Sensus Communication Solutions Inc. and has been a Value Added distributor for NICE Customer Experience Management solutions for 10 years. Shane helps contact centres across Canada uncover opportunities to increase sales, improve operational efficiency and reduce cost through the implementation of solutions and processes. Previously, Shane has spent time as a Supervisor for an Inbound/Outbound Software Sales department and as an agent in an inbound contact centre environment. Shane is an active member of other contact centre associations across Canada.

 

Russ Jarvis – Director

Russ has had an extensive career spanning 40+ years in the financial services sector. He is currently managing CGI’s National Service Centre, providing inbound technical and functional support to the credit union industry across Canada. Previously, Russ managed a large program with Aditya Birla Minacs that provided support for a major financial institution’s Investor Relations Division. Prior to his contact centre experiences, Russ spent 10 years with IBM as a Senior Consultant in the Financial Services sector, handling major clients throughout North America and Europe. Russ held various senior management positions with a major Trust Company as well as one of the leading travel and entertainment services companies. Russ is married, with two children and one precious granddaughter.

 

Harvey Doane – Director – ex officio

Harvey joined NSBI in 2009, bringing more than 20 years of experience in sales and marketing management to his role as Managing Director, Business Development, Investment with NSBI.

In this capacity, Harvey leads a team of business development executives who work with companies from around the world, developing and securing quality investment specific to some of the province’s key growth sectors, including financial services, information technology, and defence, security, and aerospace.

Harvey holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Saint Mary’s University.

 

Janet Hawley – Executive Director

Janet Hawley brings a wealth of industry knowledge and experience to the role of Executive Director. Janet has over 10 years of experience either working in or doing business development for the contact center industry here in Nova Scotia and has been involved with our association for the past several years most recently on our Executive as the Vice President of Associate Members. Janet also has a significant amount of experience working for not-for-profit organizations.
